Sustainable Tourism
The Amalfi Coast
has always been a destination for visitors and an object of international interest

Its territory, known since Roman times, was enriched by the presence of poets, painters, musicians and playwrights during the period of the Grand Tour between 18th and 19th centuries, later also becoming a film set from the 1940s to the present day.

Today the Amalfi Coast is experiencing the phenomenon of Overtourism, a popularity "beyond limits" which negatively impacts the quality of life of the local community, the natural capital of the area and the visitor experience themselves.

It is therefore becoming increasingly necessary to involve production activities, hotel facilities and local companies in order to implement concrete actions to support the Green Economy, and achieve greater sustainability of the tourism phenomenon through the UN's 2030 objectives.

Today I want to talk to you about how we can explore this wonderful land together, respecting the environment and helping to preserve it for future generations. Why is Sustainable Tourism Important?

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most iconic destinations in Italy, but mass tourism has put its fragile ecosystem to the test. As visitor numbers grow, trails, natural resources and local communities risk becoming overwhelmed.

Sustainable tourism is the answer. It means traveling responsibly, minimizing our environmental impact and supporting local communities. And this is where trekking comes in: an authentic, low-impact way to experience the Amalfi Coast.

Our Tours: Adventure, Nature and Sustainability

When you choose a trail, you are not just booking an excursion. You are making a conscious choice. Here's how:

  • Less travelled routes:
We walk on paths that not only offer incredible views, but also help distribute the tourist flow, protecting the most fragile areas.
  • Interaction with local communities:
Along the way, we stop at local farms and companies that practice sustainable production methods. You will have the opportunity to taste organic products and support the local economy.
  • Zero waste:
We promote the use of reusable water bottles, reducing single-use plastic. We also provide advice on how to travel light and leave the trails as we found them.

The paths not to be missed

  • Praiano Agerola Praiano.
It offers a breathtaking journey between nature and culture. Panoramic paths, views of the crystalline sea, picturesque villages, scents of Mediterranean scrub and the silence of the mountains.
  • Valle delle Ferriere
A green oasis where time seems to have stopped. Waterfalls, streams and a unique ecosystem await you. This is the perfect place to discuss how climate change is affecting the area and what we can do to reverse the trend.
  • Monte Campanaro and Santa Maria dei Monti
Ideal route for those who love adventure and uncontaminated nature. It offers spectacular panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast, crossing ancient chestnut groves and lush woods. The tranquility of the place allows you to reconnect with the environment, immersing yourself in an authentic and regenerating landscape.
  • Scala Hiking
An immersive experience in the nature of the Amalfi Coast. Ancient mule tracks intertwine with shaded woods, cultivated terraces and spectacular views of the sea. An ideal route to discover historic villages, rural traditions and the tranquility of the mountains, with a sustainable and regenerating pace.

Tips for Sustainable Hiking

  • Reduce waste:
Carry a water bottle and use reusable containers for food.
  • Respect nature:
Do not collect flowers or plants, and do not leave traces of your passage.
  • Support local businesses:
Purchase products and services from small businesses in the area. Every euro spent here has a direct impact on local communities.
  • Walk with Respect:
Respect other hikers and trail rules. Remember that we are guests of nature.
  • The only App that tells you how to differentiate every single product. And not only that. Junker is an App that helps you carry out separate waste collection simply, quickly and above all without errors.
