Useful information before embarking on a hike.

It is important to wear breathable technical clothing and trekking shoes with a good non-slip sole, suitable for rocky terrains. During the warmer months, bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. In cooler periods, add lightweight and windproof layers.
For hiking, it is recommended to wear trekking shoes, preferably high ones, to protect your ankles. Alternatively, a pair of sneakers with a durable, non-slip sole and good grip is suitable for tackling steep and rocky terrain. Avoid inappropriate footwear, as it can increase the risk of slipping or injury.
In most trails, no specific equipment is required. Bring a backpack with water (at least 1.5-2 liters), energy snacks, a hat with a visor, and a waterproof jacket in case of rain. Trekking poles are recommended to improve balance on steep terrain.
Hiking improves both physical and mental health. Walking in nature strengthens the cardiovascular system, tones muscles, and helps reduce stress. Additionally, contact with the natural environment promotes relaxation and can improve sleep quality.
  • Excursion: A short walk, usually a few hours, on well-marked trails with an accessible level of difficulty.
  • Trekking: A more demanding activity that can last several days, often on wilder trails in less accessible environments.
  • Hiking: A term that refers to an activity similar to an excursion, but in some contexts can include longer, moderately challenging routes.
The Italian Alpine Club (CAI) classifies routes based on difficulty:
  • T (Touristic): Easy and well-marked routes, suitable for everyone.
  • E (Excursionistic): Trails with a minimal physical effort, sometimes on uneven terrain.
  • EE (Expert Hikers): More challenging routes, with exposed or unmarked sections.
  • EEA (Expert Hikers with Equipment): Routes that require specific equipment, such as ropes or harnesses.
There are routes suitable for different levels of physical fitness, ranging from easy ones to more challenging ones with significant elevation changes. It is always best to choose a route based on your own fitness level and capabilities, and to consult and ask the guide for advice before setting off.
Some trails on the Amalfi Coast are also accessible to people with reduced mobility or those using aids. Contact us to discover the most suitable routes and receive information about available guides or support.
Pets are welcome on many trails, but they must be kept on a leash. However, some sections may be challenging for them. Always bring water for your dog, check the terrain conditions (to avoid injury), and consult the guide to choose the best route.
The duration varies depending on the route: some walks may last 2-3 hours, while others require the whole day. Excursion descriptions always include information on length and difficulty.
Yes, booking is recommended to better organize the group and ensure the presence of a guide. Contact us in advance to reserve your spot.
In addition to dressing appropriately, check the weather conditions and make sure you are in good health. Avoid heavy meals before departure and always carry a fully charged phone with you.
The ideal times are spring and autumn, when the temperatures are mild and the trails are less crowded. In summer, it's best to start early in the morning to avoid excessive heat.
In case of adverse weather conditions, the excursions may be canceled or rescheduled. We will contact you to provide updates and alternative solutions.
Some routes pass near small villages or refreshment points. However, for most trails, it's best to be self-sufficient by bringing water and snacks.
The meeting point is usually the location from which you will start walking, unless otherwise specified in the details of the excursion or trekking. The guide will communicate the exact meeting point and time only to those registered for the activity.
