Thanks to its countless benefits, meditation has become an increasingly popular practice in recent years.

Science agrees as well: meditation helps realign the body and mind, reduce stress levels, and bring inner peace, having a strong positive impact on everyday life. During our Mindtrek sessions, we will explore together what meditation is, how to practice it, and the benefits you can achieve from regular practice.

Meditation is a tool for reaching a state of deep inner peace, where the mind achieves a state of calm while remaining fully alert. There is no single way to meditate; there are many different types of meditation that can help you reach a state of profound awareness. However, when meditating, it is not a rule to stay still and seated in the lotus position. You can also engage in other activities, such as walking, but doing so in a mindful way, keeping the mind in a meditative state.

Walking is an extremely healthy practice that not only provides numerous benefits to our body but also to our mind. Walking in nature, for example, is a true natural antidepressant: it promotes the release of endorphins and serotonin, which are substances that reduce the production of cortisol, the stress hormone.

A long walk, therefore, besides being a pleasant activity, stabilizes mood, reduces stress levels, and allows us to become more attuned to both ourselves and the world around us.

Walking is also a natural cure: it reduces cholesterol.

Walking is also a natural remedy: it lowers cholesterol, burns fat, and combats diabetes and the onset of cardiovascular and degenerative diseases. If walking is already a very healthy activity, walking while meditating multiplies the benefits you can gain.

Like meditation and yoga in general, walking meditation can take many forms, but all share one common goal: to promote psychophysical well-being and increase our awareness.
